Grandma Julie sent Easter gifts and we let the kids open them on Saturday night - note the beer in Andy's hand...No, he's not drinking Easter Morning.
Happy Birthday Hudson
Go Beavers!
January 2011
Hudson spent the night at deer camp with Poppy and daddy, we had a snow day (not much snow, but enough to close down the city), and Hudson and Hadley enjoy off-roading with their headlamps on!

September 2010
Hudson started pre-k at the beginning of the month. He loves his teacher and all of his friends. He's learning to write letters and starting to learn how to sound out words. It's so amazing how fast they learn. Speaking of learning, Hadley is beginning to talk more and dress herself. Everyday she says a new word that we haven't heard. It's funny because I'm sure she has been keeping all of these words to herself. September has been jam-packed with events: school, birthday, anniversary, and we're about to go to Chicago for a weekend with our friends. We're looking forward to a little vacay. I'm gearing up for the holidays - I know they're a few months away, but with fall right around the corner I can't help but to start thinking about them. I just wish the weather would cool down. It was 97 degrees here today - cool down already!
August 2010
We took a trip to Omaha to see our friends and family. We had a cousins reunion on my side of the family - the timing was perfect. There have been four babies born in our family since the beginning of the year. Andy's mom came into town, as well as my sister and her family. We had a couple of evenings of hanging out with our friends, we visited gramps in his new home, some of us squeezed in a trip to the zoo (not Andy or myself - we had the "bug"), and others had a sneak peek of the air show. Lots of stuff crammed into a week-long whirlwind of children and babies playing, crying, fighting, loving, hugging, barfing (yes, everyone got sick - 12 hour bug), laughing and having a great time together. We loved seeing everyone, but our time there was too short - I was sad to go, but happy to get back to our daily routines. I think now that almost everyone we visited have little children or babies, we all appreciate ROUTINE!
July 2010
Andy’s sister and her sons came to visit this summer.
My mom, my kids, and I drove to Indianapolis for my uncle's 50th surprise birthday party. My dad met us there and then rode home with us. My brother and his family drove out from Nebraska. The surprise party was a blast, and we also made a trip to the Indianapolis Children's Museum. If you are ever in Indianapolis - go there! The museum is AWESOME!
